We headed straight for Rise of the resistance - they opened the queue at 0800 on the dot. We waited half an hour and enjoyed it, so much fun and lots to absorb.
Sometimes you just have a few minutes spare and want to play something which is fun, light hearted and doesn’t require too much heavy thinking. Star Wars Don’t Upset the Wookiee is that game for us. As long as you don’t expect deep strategy here, it is a great little filler game for when your short on time. We just love the cuddly Wookiee that the game comes in. This is a really nice touch and Star Wars fans will really appreciate this as a present in our view. Chill Out:This requires the next player to play a card that either matches or is below the last card played. This comes in very handy when the last card played was very low, like a 1 or 2. DC were hungry - we had 30 minutes before Guardians so did an emergency stop in the refurbished connections eatery. So nice in here now. Amazing, love it, if no chilly water bottle a coffee cup is a perfect replacement for an alcoholic beverage with that beautiful view.

What will Star Wars: Don’t Upset the Wookiee teach my kids? There isn’t a lot to this game strategy wise, but for younger kids it will help them to understand hierarchies and number sequences.
To set up the game simply deal 7 cards to each player and give them a victory card with the 0 facing forward. The rest of the cards are shuffled and placed in the centre of the table to form a draw pile. Guardians unfortunately wasn’t running when our group was called at 1200 and was down for ages - it was a bit frustrating as we waited around for a while and did I mention the heat? 🥵 In terms of card hierarchy, pairs beat single cards and three of a kind beats a pair. Four of a kind has a special rule which wins you the game. Special cards can be played on top of anycard and so are very valuable. What cards are there in Star Wars: Don’t Upset the Wookiee?
