edit: as its the same platform as 920+ it has the same base kernel config and that will limit the possible cpu threads to 8, kind of unpleasant for "non minimal" cpu configs, disabling HT in bios should be considered for cpu's with more then 4 cores to at least use max. 8 physical cores of a cpu To start with what was formerly known as “E-Map,” the Maps functionality in Surveillance Station has had a complete overhaul and now lets admins create multi-layered, hierarchical sets of overlapping maps that can be used as the starting point for all your surveillance — from regular monitoring to receiving alerts and investigating incidents. Synology reserves the right to replace memory modules with the same or higher frequency based on supplier's product life cycle status. Rest assured that the compatibility and stability have been strictly verified with the same benchmark to ensure identical performance.

The design of the DVA1622 takes a lot of inspiration from the Synology DS720+ and DS723+ NAS units. These two models are less focused on surveillance but still fall under the category of prosumer 2-Bay NAS solutions. Despite borrowing heavily from these designs, the DVA1622 does feature its own unique elements tailored for its surveillance-oriented functionality. No risers, just bought right case from begining Mini ITX, but in your case it will sound like vandalism, but you could try cut it a little, so double slot gpu would fit, just needs little hole for coolers from the side panel, otherwise gpu may overheat. Or just replace a case ) my case is silverstone sg13 in case your motherboard is Mini ITX, but its a big one, but its cheap. There are many cases that will do the job. For MicroATX a lot more choices. While all these features speed up the process of rewinding and reviewing footage after spotting abnormal behaviors, boosting the amount of investigation any person can do, they also make it much easier to hand over surveillance between staff members, or for a person without intimate knowledge of a deployment to get up to speed and react adequately. Securing more with lessAwsome information. Now please a similar video on Qnap. I cant make up my mind as I need both photo management and video surveillance. It seems like Qnap and Synology takes 1 point each. As a photographer using Lightroom to manage my my photos, I still cannot understand why I need Synology Photos or S Video to manage them? This will work too, but requires one more PSU, riser will be much cheaper than Razer egpu :) here is my universal small factor testing setup which works both for dva1622 and dva3221, vm or baremetal:

SMB1 (CIFS), SMB2, SMB3, NFSv3, NFSv4, NFSv4.1, NFS Kerberized sessions, iSCSI, HTTP, HTTPs, FTP, SNMP, LDAP, CalDAV Sorry, I probably misread. dimakv2014 has it working on his Ivy Bridge CPU to show it doesn't require Haswell, but I read closer and he doesn't have a Microserver Gen8. And re-reading this thread, I don't think anyone confirmed it's working on a Gen8. Most users are going to have a plexa library that they’ve probably customized and should customize in one bulk “media folder” and then break it down within…. If you do stuff like that for all your multimedia they’re native apps don’t work you have to have it where they want it…. Same with sync you have to have it where they want it and it’s only sync … Me personally I want one-way sink data goes on the NAS … You can delete it off the phone or computer and that won’t transfer over…. They have improved the drive application but I still have to improve video photo and the other ones to be one way and for us to control the locations multiple or single nested location I don’t want to be told or you got to have it in the ” home /user /names/ photo/ to have the photo application work I have just tested the installation of a DVA-1622, because with my current proxmox, I cannot install a DVA-3221 (cpu too old).Just wanna report down here too as my Odroid H2+ working properly as baremetal after bunch of trials and errors. Option1: DVA1622 - many cpus with supported igpus from Intel for dva1622 are mentioned in this topic, some old work and some dont, so I suggest for that to buy MiniPC or SoC Mini-ITX motherboard with gemini lake cpu and Intel uhd 600-605 igpu (Celeron J4105 or J4125 for max perfomance since its quad core, also some Celeron N series but they are rare). If you want to buy minipc or build it, then its about 150-250usd. There are many older and newer cpus that work, many were tested by members of this forum and to find which ones will work besides geminilake you have to do a little research. it might be possible to just use the already existing i915 binary modules made for 920+ also for dva1622 as it will use the same (platform based, in this case geminilake) kernel settings for compiling kernel/drivers Testing is done by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in their Facial Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT) under its WILD category (using faces extracted from real-world footage).

I appreciate that an NVR has a lot of storage and therefore could be used as a NAS, but a decent NVR records 24/7 and consumes 100% of the storage for CCTV recordings. I suspect it's not CPU. Gen8 running xeon (E3-1220L v2), which doesn't use intel graphics but the matrox? I use tcrp bringfriend, and I see intel_iommu=igfx_off - does that mean anything? Assuming you do it in vm and using tinycore-repill.v0.8.0.0.vmdk as well as e1000e virtual network adapter: We designed the DVA1622 specifically with the needs of small and home users in mind," said Tony Lin, product manager for surveillance at Synology Inc. "That doesn't mean right-sizing its capacity, but also adding additional features to make sure that it can be used with a monitor, mouse, and keyboard for an all-in-one, standalone surveillance solution." More than just threat identification When you first access the new Surveillance Station, what you’ll immediately notice is the sleek dark interface. Adopting many users’ preferred look is one small way we are making monitoring a better experience, but look for the Live View and you’ll notice something more: The separation between live streaming and the former Timeline View is now gone.Khi quay ở độ phân giải 4k, số lượng tác vụ phân tích video sâu giới hạn ở mức 8 tác vụ. However my problem is how to keep it simple & stupid (ex: high tier levels of simplicity, brevity, encapsulation, etc). what FPS (Frame per Second) are the cameras you are using? I am looking for a devicw that can handle 4K, 1080P, or 4MP with a huge 320Mbps incoming bitrate, CAN any Synology DVR handle this at 30 FPS (Frame per Second)? Have you tried adding flags or emulate haswell or higher cpu gen with this new version of Proxmox to run DVA3221? As far as I understand it includes QEMU, this way it could be possible to use nvidia gpu at least for AI P.S. I got it worked at VM (where I actually see in the settigns: "there is no GPU" ) . As for " Change .vmx file from e1000 to e1000e in hypervisor." -> I don't have any e1000 files. Working without this change.

Actual maximum storage pool and volume sizes depend on drive sizes used, the number of drive bays available, and the RAID configuration. The Synology DVA1622 is clearly stylized on the most recent other 2-bay solution from the brand, the DS720+, arriving in the same compact chassis (though perhaps a pinch taller/wider). There are still a number of key details, such as the CPU that is inside, whether the system will utilize an on-board GPU or Google TPU Coral m.2, and precise ports, but there are still lots of things that Synology was able to confirm about this device during their 2022 launch content.
