My skin brings out the astringent quality of cypress that I adore so much, but the smoky vetiver radiates quite well as well, and it even has a nice edge that reminds me of orange peels.

This fragrance honestly reminds me of a lot of things, but everything I think of it is kind of "dimly lit" if that makes any sense, but not in a sad way. A quiet teahouse. An untouched wet forest. These are the things this fragrance makes me think of. This actually smells similar to Gucci Rush Pour Homme! Gucci is more fresher. This is more earthy and musky. Compare both fragrance notes. I don't find it as dark as generally described, nor do I think it is an ink scent. I certainly don't think it is sweet, but it is mellow and uninspired with soft woody notes. It is coniferous and slightly citrusy, the projection is soft, and I don't think it is as extremely original as it is being described.It's smells fantastic, alas it seems that like Zino this may have been reformulated into a disappointment. First impressions: The bottle is gorgeous. Statuesque. Minimalist. Dark. Geometric...and altogether aesthetically pleasing. It reminds me of luxurious dark-stained wood and obsidian stones. It doesn't try to be anything it's not, unlike its extreme cousin which screams 'Here I am! Remember me?!' and soon after turns in to a confused mess.
