This is one of the best books I've ever read. It's beyond beautiful. The characters are soo unbelievably amazing. This series has a power couple! I cannot think of another book that has that, not like Bristol and Grip. As our hero is a rapper and the heroine is a music manager there is a lot of music talk besides some fantastic lyrics. Kennedy Ryan penetrated my soul with STILL. Her flawless and poetic prose kept me spellbound. Her narrative is strong, powerful and with STILL Ryan captures and explores clearly what's current in the world today, questions it and brings awareness to it with authenticity. This short novella just shows how far Grip and Bristol have come. Their lives are busier than ever and after all they’ve been through they know they need to prioritize each other and their marriage. Their love is stronger than ever. Kennedy Ryan always knew that she was going to grow up to tell stories, as many writers often do. The road to that being fulfilled has been one that she paved with the help or random jobs. The jobs would help her to support her family, keep them eating, and keep a roof over their heads and a house for them to live in. Don't let me keep telling you about it and GO grab your copy of GRIP and I garantee you that you will love it as much as I do and will be in a MAYOR BOOK HANGOVER when you finish.

I loved how all the voices sounded authentic. Never once did I wonder if a person of a different race was writing the characters. I believed the voices of all the characters. Bristol and Grip's connection is why I love reading romance novels. Their game of cat and mouse that they play keeps the story fun. Their sexiness is through the roof. Their willingness to defy all odds and be together is so dreamy, so impactful, because in doing that they're each sacrificing a bit of themselves. Still is an endearing love story of two people, who know what unconditional love is. That no matter what life throws at them they'll face it together. I look at her, cataloging her features one by one and realizing the most fascinating thing about this girl isn’t visible to the naked eye." All across the USA, people are showing up dead. The deaths don't appear to be connected in any way until one particular death occurs and gets the Secretary of Defense's attention. Especially on a personal level. Their interactions were phenomenal and I loved how comfortable they were around each other. They reveled in each other's company and their conversations flowed effortlessly, layered with so much intensity. I couldn't remove my eyes from the intoxicating prose and words of Kennedy Ryan. Grip and Bristol were amazing and turned out to be very complex and multi layered characters. I loved the range and depth of their conversations which were a great mixture of race and culture. Also their own views and opinions of today's and the 90's society played a huge part of this story and I appreciate that Ryan chose to go that route with Grip and Bristol. My impression and love for both of them only expanded and I got so much more excited as the story progressed. Grip- WOW WOW WOW......this story blew me away. Besides being a love story, it was a story that crossed race and social issues that are alive and well in this country. It was emotional, it was heartbreaking, it was thought provoking, it was loving and it was HEALING. Stories of interracial couples have stereotypes and stigmas but this author traverses the issues and displays them in a real, raw, captivating way. While the story is not all about racial difference, the love story of Grip and Bristol is full of meaningful feelings from past and present that all intertwine into a magnificent book.

In Still, Bristol and Grip continue with their life together, some people still doubt their love for each other. What I like about this couple is their open communication with each other they may have some arguments just like any other couple but at the end of the day, they were able to resolve it.Yes it is a story about Love regardless of one's skin color, yet it is also a story about the harsh realities of Life. There are no words to describe how perfect are these books, how speechless this series will made You feel !!! Grip is the lesson for our humanity, how to love and how to believe that we are worthy.

I’m speechless after finishing this book, it’s absolutely brilliant! I’m one of those readers who clamor for more Bristol and Grip. Overjoyed when Kennedy decided to write Still and it became one of my anticipated releases this year and she didn’t disappoint. Kennedy didn’t write just for the sake of writing a sequel but she wrote this book with finesse; her words are heartwarming that will touch you to the core. It’s beautifully written through and through. One of many things Kennedy Ryan succeeds with in Grip and also Flow are her choice of topics and how she weaves them into Grip and Bristol's story. Especially music and race plays a huge and important role. It gives the story an edge but most importantly it also gives more depth to the characters. Not just to Grip and Bristol but also to the secondary characters. Grip is an extraordinary story with a powerful message which has to be experienced. When You Are Mine is the first novel in the Bennetts Series by Kennedy Ryan. Sometimes, it seems that forever is just one heart beat away. At least that is how it feels for Kerris Moreton, the main character in this story. There is a certain poetry element she brings to her storytelling ways that make her books filled with magic. In terms of contemporary romance, she is IT for me! There is a realistic element in her plotlines & characters however she adds that fantastic romance part that makes it a swoon-worthy. She is thought-provoking and intentional without hitting you on the head with her point!! Especially in this series where social justice, racism, and police brutality are a huge part of the story. These stories are about a couple’s love journey and the complex issues that they faced being an interracial couple in this country. But make no mistake, Love wins and overcomes all those obstacles. Bristol and Grip grow and evolve over two decades together and the reader is treated to the fullness of their passion for each other.I want a love with no walls. This world uses whatever it can—race, politics, religion—to divide us. We can have differences, but promise me they won’t be walls that divide us.” Grip series is a love story, but touching so many topics and feelings....it is a true masterpiece and a must read.
