Now about the fragrance. It looks boring, but I'll give it a try. I'm admittedly not a fan of mainstream-geared fragrances, but I'm always open to surprised. I use bath oil more regularly now, because my skin has become so dry, especially in the winter when the house is heated. Most of the time, I use an unscented oil like Neutrogena’s sesame body oil; I just squirt some in the bath water. After Portia’s comment, I’ve added less than a dropperful of the Stash elixir oil, and it is wonderful — it scents the whole bathroom. Sillage is not a problem with this fragrance — it carries quite a way. Unfortunately, that aggressive, high contrast "beauty" lighting and noticeable retouching undermine the self-affirming confidence of her brand. Going forward, a gentler hand in these departments would serve her better. You’ve reminded me: I have Pharrell Girl and Eau de Gaga in my hoard, but haven’t opened and tried them yet. I have and like Covet; you’re right, it is weird. Sometimes it’s just what I want, though! It is a rule breaker, it's unapologetically sexy and it is for everyone”... A play of raw, sexy masculine notes wrapped with feminine, flirtatious notes. The result: a universally sexy fragrance. An Eau de Parfum Elixir Spray. Features

When I finally sprayed on Stash, I smelled sweet grapefruit and pepper, a resonant wood note and perhaps a floral touch; the perfume was very light. Minutes later, something great happened: the fragrance bloomed and surrounded me with wonderful aromas of grapefruit, vetiver, milky woods, frankincense and benzoin. For some faint-nosed souls who hate all things "dirty," Stash may be a bit "unclean" but to me its grapefruit, cedar and vetiver don't conjure an unwashed man on the Eurorail (notice how Parker can't find a similar guy on... Amtrak?) In fact, Stash joins the meager ranks of non-Eaux de Cologne that I would wear to bed; its final stage of talc-y vetiver is soooo comforting and cozy. For a more floral fragrance similar to SJP Stash Perfume, try Philosophy Love Sweet Love Perfume. This perfume features notes of lily, rose and jasmine blended with sandalwood and musk for a sweet and subtly seductive aroma. In short, she is the avatar for every one of us not born looking like a model who wishes we could find the confidence to walk like one...without being an insufferable, self-deluding jerk. That is her magic. News of the new flanker has arrived! It will be called Stash Unspoken, in a similar bottle to Prive, but more rose gold rather than pink.I like her, and appreciate how serious she takes her brand. Will eventually find it on one of my travels. Also I fail to see what is unflattering about that photo. Her skin is amazing, I can only hope to age as gracefully as her. Stash SJP Privé is a composition intended for women, which reportedly interprets seduction and feminine charm through deep floral motifs, juicy fruits and oriental tones. Pink pepper is mixed with citruses and fruity tones of quince at the top leading to a floral heart of orange blossom and a woody-musky base. It is described as intoxicating, both classical and modern, a timeless symbol of grace, luxury and passion. Well, actually I came across this perfume at one of the biggest federal cosmetics stores in Moscow - Russia. I couldn't have confused it for anything else, I believe...

Stash reminds me of a quieter Frédéric Malle Vétiver Extraordinaire; it also brought to mind Eau d'Italie Bois d'Ombrie and one of my favorite soaps: Nesti Dante Villages and Monasteries. Stash has good lasting power but stays close to the body; it's unisex but veers masculine to my nose (but will non-perfumista guys buy it?) I wore Stash after my test run of Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue and all I could think was: "Donatella, hire Sarah Jessica Parker and her team of perfumers ( Clement Gavarry and Laurent Le Guernec) the next time you need a new Versace men's scent." I'm serious. Stash is one of my top ten in my collection. I bought two different gift sets at Marshall’s years ago, so I’m set for a long time. I don’t usually like cedar but it works for me in Stash. I use the oil on my skin, and sometimes my hair as well. SJP Covet is also in my top ten, but it’s much weirder. Haven’t tried Stash Unspoken, and have a bottles of Lovely and Covet Pure Bloom that I plan to give away, not “me”. I do have Adam Levine for Her – good! And have little bottles of the Queen Latifah perfumes. Pharrell Girl and Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga (don’t even remember what it smells like!) round out my “celebrity” offerings. Does this mean that the original Stash was bit of a flop? This is what normally happens with celebrity fragrances that are more experimental and don't sell well - they release a more crowd pleasing scent n the same bottle with a more crowd pleasing colour. Remember Covet that was swiftly followed by Covet Bloom?"In 2005, I had the great pleasure of releasing my first fragrance, LOVELY. Over a decade later, it’s still a top selling global brand and I remain deeply touched by the women of all ages who have taken our signature fragrance Lovely and made it their own for so many, many years. Following LOVELY came a wonderful succession of scents that we worked to make distinct and stand on their own including COVET, SJP NYC and STASH. We recently introduced our newest fragrance called LOVELY YOU — a soft, clean update to its predecessor, intended to transcend generations and inspire embracing one’s truest self. I say this with All Due Respect and Friendship… That you liked this fragrance has intensified my already rabid desire to Smell/Buy this fragrance a Thousand-fold! I know Kevin, it takes something good for you to be impressed and I respect that and Now, since I am already a fan of ALL THINGS SJP am tittering with your wonderful review. I cannot wait to get my own Stash of “Stash” It overjoys me that Sarah got to make her unique scent finally! Although, Am I the only one who thought “Covet” was a little off the reservation as well with it’s Bold opening of Chocolate and Lemon??? SJP has always had kind of a Kooky sense of Smell and one that I personally jibe with Totally. In the meantime, is is not shy of staying that recognizably girlish and pure and romantic as she was in her youth. This is what the name STASH is all about. Stash seems like those films that go "straight to Dvd" but end up underground cult classics regardless. Like a lot of people here, I was initially surprised by the photograph used to promote this fragrance. However, after reading the associations with the Russian ballet it makes sense. Her makeup is heavy and a theatrical. Just like a real performing ballerina. It also seems to be overexposed which I also think is a subtle nod to strong and unforgiving stage lights.
