The lesbian storyline was a mid sized part of this book but the oodles of chemistry between Red and Shane made up for that and I may have spent way too much time rereading those sections while “looking for quotes for this review.” The Conclusion Fi has awakened the sleeping prince, but the battle for Andar is far from over. The Spindle Witch, the Witch Hunters, and Fi’s own Butterfly Curse all stand between them and happily ever after. I am waiting with great anticipation for the next book in the series and cannot wait to see Shane’s story play out more. I will follow Shane and Red to the ends of the earth to get their story. (I am basically the lesbian on the boat who crossed the ocean for her romance , but with their romance.) Did you know you can flag iffy content? Fi and Shane must take on the greatest lost ruin of them all—the Tomb of Queen Aurora. What I loved: a retelling of Sleeping Beauty with flipped gender roles. The prince needs to be rescued and the women are the heroes. I also love that the sleeping prince has magic and can project himself, which allows him to be more than a sleeping, passive character. The speed of the book was perfect. It's set up for another book to follow, and it makes sense.
