About this deal

Rebecca Samaras, ATJF trustee for Scotland, Director of Pro Bono and Clinical Legal Education at the University of Edinburgh Law School, committee chair of the Access to Justice Foundation Scotland, and member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Access to Justice Committee (e: [email protected]) The only direct DNA link to Jodi Jones was sperm, belonging to Stephen Kelly, found on Jodi’s T-shirt. Stephen was Jodi’s sister’s boyfriend and a member of the search party. Kelly was permitted by police to go home without his clothes being taken for forensic examination after Jodi’s body was found. These clothes were later washed by Alice Walker. A couple of days after Jodi was killed, Mark “Bill” Bryson was in the home of Judith Jones and Alan Ovens speaking about the murder and Luke Mitchell. In the series Luke Mitchell told investigators, “I was the local weirdo, it was easy to put it on me,” and how DS Craig Dobbie and others, had said during the interrogation to, “confess you little bastard”. Imagine a used condom found approximately 15 meters away from a brutal murder and the police are too lazy, inept, or corrupt to care about such evidence and don’t ascertain who that condom belonged to for three years.

One of the witnesses claimed they had seen the same man a week later at the police reconstruction of Jodi’s movements. The man was on Morris Road, Easthouses around 6 p.m. with two other men. This man came forward and was not the man who was seen on the night of the murder. He admitted that he was likely the man in question on the night of the reconstruction but was not the man following Jodi Jones on the night she was murdered – he was provably nowhere near Easthouses on June 30th. Mark Kane told me “It looks bad, I even wrote an essay on killing a woman in the woods”. The tutor didn’t remember the essay, submitted two years previously, so this “totally cleared” Kane of any involvement in the murder of Jodi Jones…this to me about sums up the police “investigation” and the reporting by their friend in the media. I find it mind boggling that 2 boys known to Jodi who dealt drugs to Luke and Jodi were at the very spot at the very time of the murder , I will tell you who has never been identified at the very spot at the very time Luke Mitchell , yeah mind boggling for sure . It’s always puzzled me, how three independent people can make the same statement to the police on the night of the murder, and a few weeks later they are allowed by the police to change their statements to suit Alan Dobbie’s narrative. Why did Donald Findlay not call as a witness the ex army veterinary expert and dog trainer (who was training Mia) and settle it (at least on who found Jodi) once and for all.

The simple answer as to why the jury didn’t believe Luke’s alibi is that the jury from Edinburgh had been fed lies, spin, and trash talk, such as sexual relationships with his mother, and that he was “evil”, from as early as the 4th of July 2003. Complaining about all “manners of slurs, vitriol and downright rudeness slung her way,” you could be forgiven for thinking she was describing exactly what she had done to Luke Mitchell and his mother from 2003-2021. Investigating the unlawful Scottish Government procedure into allegations against the Former First Minister of Scotland Her murder was described by the FBI as a “Lust Murder,” a murder where the killer stabs, cuts or mutilates the sexual parts of the body for sexual pleasure. This is known as Evisceration Piquerism. The removal or mutilation of the breast in the female victim is “de feminization.”

When he was later questioned, he mentioned she had a distinctive hair clasp which was not readily visible on Jodi’s body and his description of her clothing implied he had seen her much later than just at school as he had claimed. SCOTT FORBES:The inscription on the pouch, JJ 1989-2003, represented Jodi’s birth and death years and were alongside Jodi’s favourite quote, “The finest day I ever had was when tomorrow never came”, by Kurt Cobain. The same quote was on a card left at Jodi’s grave, along with flowers, by Luke Mitchell. Despite years of media slurs and untruths, and the pressure that goes along with that, and spending seventeen years in prison after being wrongly convicted of such a heinous crime, Luke Mitchell continues to maintain his innocence. Very few human beings could take such pressure if they were guilty, in my opinion, and the majority of the prison population and institution staff appear to agree. You cannot ‘con’ prisoners for seventeen years. Could this be the answer to what really happened to Jodi Jones? And could it prove, after almost two decades, that Luke Mitchell had no involvement in his girlfriend's murder? The truth is Luke Mitchell, the supposed criminal master mind who was able to commit a gruesome murder and not leave a thread of forensic evidence behind, didn’t really have an alibi. Shane Mitchell was so nonchalant in his first statement about Luke he said he wasn’t sure if Luke was in the house or not.

After reading the charges, the judges began to call witnesses to the stand. The first witnesses gave contextual evidence—the historical, social, political, economic, and cultural situation of Chad before and during the Habré regime. These witnesses also outlined the psychological profile of the defendant and described his political career from his first struggles to his fall in December 1990. The EAC judges also called expert witnesses to the stand. These mainly comprised forensic pathologists, ballistics experts, statisticians, and legal experts. The EAC judges then began to hear from direct and indirect victims. These witnesses gave testimony about the specific crimes they experienced or witnessed. The ’666’ was evidence led in court. The explanation for the 666 was that whoever murdered Jodi was evil and had written alongside her favourite quote. Let’s examine the ‘facts’ that were not mentioned in the two-part series, and hopefully highlight the media bias that has been evident in this case since the beginning. “THE HARD FACTS THAT PROVE LUKE MITCHELL MURDERED JODI JONES IN COLD BLOOD”Did un-convicted baby killer, sexual deviant, con-artist and abuser Billy Middelton seek legal advice before naming the woman he sexually assaulted/abused ? In the reporter’s submissions she mentions no other suspects, except Mark Kane, and claims “most” suspects mentioned in the TV documentary were questioned extensively. What an embarrassment to come out with such nonsense. I have seen the transcripts of the interviews with those people – the only thing they were questioned extensively about was Luke Mitchell. However, it does give an example of how falsehoods were fed to the public throughout the entire investigation.

Luke Mitchell was convicted of killing his then-girlfriend, 14, in 2005 following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh. When criminologist, Dr Sandra Lean, started to ask questions about the case as early as 2004, she was spat on in the street, received threats of violence, had bullying men turn up at her home making threats on her life, and all was accepted and permitted by Dalkeith Police. The “never been found knife” was shown to Luke Mitchell in police photographs on the 14th of August 2004.
