About this deal

Despite a significant reduction in suction power, improvements in efficiency means he remains a powerful and reliable vacuum cleaner, suitable for cleaning all types of services. Henry has also been built to be long-lasting, meaning he should last in your home for years to come. With a number of useful accessories included in the box, no cleaning job should be too hard. Like nearly all Henry vacuums the traditional Henry Hoover is corded and requires bags, so that’s something to bear in mind as he’ll need to be plugged in and have his bag changed from time to time.

Both the Henry HVR 160 and HVR 200 models have seen a large reduction in motor power when compared to previous versions of Henry. In September 2014 the EU imposed a limit on vacuum cleaners limiting the wattage to 1600W, and by 2017 that limit went down even further to 900W. The previous Henry Hoover wattage at 1200W was above the new limit set in 2017, so Numatic made big changes and reduced the Henry 160 model to 620W, nearly halving Henry’s previous wattage. The Henry 200 model at 580W has gone one step further, but this shouldn’t be seen as a negative. If you have a big home, messy occupants, or want to save time, this is the Henry model to go for in our opinion. Its design features will keep you cleaning without pause, and it’ll cope admirably with all the dust, debris, and fur you need to remove from your home or car. In our review Lindsey gave it top marks for cleaning power and versatility, but bear in mind that it's heavy to lug up the stairs.

Unstoppable Cleaning, Built to Last

The nation’s best loved vacuum, chosen by millions for his reliability, performance and cheeky smile.. The main negative with the Xtra is that it’s fairly heavy and not the best vacuum for cleaning stairs, but it does have many positives. These include a large dust bag capacity, powerful suction on both hard floors and carpets, a compact design and a range of performance enhancing attachments which help to provide a thorough clean. Henry Hoovers are well known for being built to last. Numatic has made over 10 million Henry’s over the years, many of which are still in use today. Independently rated as the UK’s most reliable vacuum brand, a Henry Hoover should last for many years and comes with a two year warranty in case anything breaks in those first two years. Henry's versatile toolkit includes: combi floor tool, dusting tool, crevice tool and brush & mattress tool

Love a Henry but want to go for one of the best cordless vacuums? The Henry HVB160 cordless vacuum cleaner is well worth a look. Our reviewer Sarah gave it 4.5 stars and thinks it's great for smaller homes as its battery life only lasts for 30 minutes. In addition to bag capacity, there is a difference in suction power as detailed above, though it’s only a small difference of 40 watts so it’s unlikely something that you’ll notice. With so much choice within the Henry Hoover family, it’s difficult to say which is the best Henry vacuum as it all comes down to what you require. The female equivalent to Henry or also known as the female Henry Hoover, Hetty Hoover is another popular vacuum cleaner from the Henry family. A common question we see is what’s the difference between Hetty and Henry? The answer is not much at all. Apart from her appearance, Hetty is exactly the same vacuum so it’s not a case of Henry vs Hetty. The only real difference is that Hetty is pink compared to the traditional red. She also comes complete with eyelashes to add to her more feminine appearance. Hetty shares the exact same specifications as the Henry Hoover 160-11. Like the standard Henry Hoover, the Xtra comes with two extension nozzles, an upholstery nozzle, and the standard combination tool. This cylinder vacuum cleaner also comes with a stainless steel tube set which is included for durability and ultimately, more reliable and uninterrupted cleaning in the future. The steel tubes are a tight fit and don’t slip off so there’s no need for suction clips. The nozzle is especially good for stairs and car seats. You also have the option of sliding the brush off if you want to do your upholstery which is a little more delicate. If you love Henry (the vacuum) and you have pets, then the Henry Pet 200 would be an excellent shout for you since it has all the great features of a Henry with the added bonus of extra pet-friendly features. Our tester Jen found that it excelled as collecting hair left behind by her adorable guinea pigs. It's for sure one of the best vacuums for pet hair.
