Universal, Paramount, and Shout have all been doing this Blu ray then 4K nonsense. Shout has a little leeway because a lot of their titles have been released many years prior, but Uni and Paramount have no excuse. A New Vision of Horror (HD, 6 Mins.) - James Wan and the cast and crew talk about making the film, the story's origins, the characters, and more. M3GAN (2022), starring Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Amie Donald, Jenna Davis, and Jen Van Epps. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on March 21.

Starring: Allison Williams , Violet McGraw , Ronny Chieng , Amie Donald , Jenna Davis , Brian Jordan Alvarez Universal has released the 2022 film 'Megan,' or 'M3gan,' to the UHD format less than seven months after the film's initial Blu-ray release. New specifications include 2160p/HDR video and Dolby Atmos Bringing Life to M3GAN – See how animatronics, puppets, and actor Amie Donald helped make M3GAN as real as possible Now it's time for the Unrated Edition Ted Talk. This Unrated version of M3GAN is not the ultimate 30-minute longer cut of the film, as Midsommar gifted us. This is about 90 seconds or so longer of more blood, guts, and foul language. The hilarious Ronny Chieng delivers several four-letter f-words and the titular robotic maniac utters one that enhances her tenacious ferocity. The death scenes are the same, but most add a few seconds of gore with some extended nastiness, such as the ear-pull, the power-washer face melter, and more. The theatrical cut is wonderful but these added few seconds of depravity and language really drive home the high entertainment value of the fun horror this movie really is about. Before, the film would cut away too soon, but here, it allows for all the red drippings to be viewed, even if it's short-lived.

M3GAN: Other Editions

Is there anything creepier than the dead eyes of an android? No really…is there? Probably not. And I’ve never seen an android in the flesh (so to speak). But I think that technology is evolving fast enough that someday we’ll all have that opportunity. Remember a simpler time when we could go outside, ride a bike and play with some friends? Are those days gone forever? I’m going off on a tangent here. Let me switch gears. Though he’s not the man behind the camera, James Wan has given us his share of horror films. The latest entry into his pantheon is M3GAN, the story of an artificial intelligence “lifeform” who has more to her than meets the eye. Wan has made a name for himself and even with a few of his own films dealing with “creepy dolls”, namely Annabelle and Dead Silence. And now we’ve got…this. Essentially if you add some parts from Fatal Attraction, throw in a bit of Single While Female, mix in some bits of Terminator 2 and a good portion of Child’s Play you’ve got this.

The M3GAN UNRAT3D VERSION delivers more distressing violence and profanity and features never-before-seen bonus content including a breakdown of the creation of M3GAN and behind-the-scenes featurettes showcasing the film's complex stunts and gory deaths.Unrated Cut - There is only a couple of minutes of longer scenes, none of which adds to the chaos or brutality really of the film. This is not the best gory cut of the movie. Bringing Life to M3GAN– See how animatronics, puppets, and actor Amie Donald helped make M3GAN as real as possible. There’s nothing artificial about the way M3GAN looks on its Blu-ray debut. Colors are bold and the entire spectrum is covered. The interior of the house, office, etc. give a warm vibe that nearly looks like a Hallmark movie (I’m sure it was intentional) while the outdoor scenes retain that sun-soaked color palette. This changes later on, naturally, due to the film’s nature. The 2.39:1 AVC HD encode isn’t challenged in the least with the minor exception of a bit of blooming. It’s certainly indicative of what a new-to-the-format film should look like – it’s good-looking. Audio: How’s it sound?

Everybody turns in solid performances including The Daily Show's senior correspondent Ronny Chieng as the stern and idiotic CEO of the robotic company, but the spotlight is truly on Allison Williams. She is the Queen of horror nowadays and just commands the screen every time she's on with her pitch-perfect performances and physical stuntwork. The one major complaint here is its PG-13 rating. It definitely hindered the horror element of it and could have been even better with that extra dose of gore, blood, and entrails, since many blunt instruments of death are used throughout the film. It would just enhance that level of fun here, but perhaps it was a marketing move to make way for an uncut edition later on home video.
