About this deal

Have you ever tried pear vodka? Absolut pear is the best, in my opinion, because it’s much smoother and the taste is more natural. It’s a very unusual flavor to have in a drink (at least, it’s not used too often), but that crisp yet buttery taste is very pleasant in this case. Pour the bottle of vodka over the elderflowers, then top with the slices of lemon to keep the flowers under the vodka. Add another dash of alcohol in the form of sweet elderflower liqueur, and just imagine how intense this drink can be! This elderflower martini is so fresh and floral! Featuring homemade sweet and sour mix, gin, vodka and St Germain, it's everything bright and floral! The perfect use for this liqueur.

Please do not be offended but as a former English teacher and a lover of the richness of the English language, I feel compelled to point out an ‘error’ common to your generation. In your post on making elderflower liqueur you said:a b Simonson, Robert (27 April 2016). "Robert J. Cooper, 39, Creator of Popular Elderflower Liqueur, Dies". The New York Times . Retrieved 12 December 2021. So if you are still drinking an Aperil Spritz then move over ! The Venetians have been serving this aperetivo for years . If you don’t have access to fresh elderflowers, dried elderflowers can also be used, just use about half as much as fresh.

It starts like a Mojito, which means you need to muddle the mint and lime in a shaker or right in the glass. Elderflowers appear before elderberries, and they arrive anytime between May through July, depending on your location and climate. Elderflower season is an exciting but short lived time. Every year I try to find some way to preserve the elderflower harvest so that I can enjoy them for a longer period of time. I’ve been wanting to try making elderflower liqueur (also known as St. Germain) for some time now. This year the local elder trees were absolutely loaded with elderflowers, so I decided to make this delicious elderflower liqueur!

St Germain is a liqueur that’s made with elderflowers, the small white flowers of an elderberry plant. With its beautiful vintage bottle, it looks like a liqueur that’s been produced for centuries by French monks like Chartreuse. But turns out, it’s a lot more modern than you might expect.
