Description

Soundwave and the other Decepticons were battling the Autobots for control of a space bridge when a freak accident teleported everyone to the Japan of another universe. As they scouted out the terrain, Soundwave and Laserbeak reported on the miraculous energy source beneath the nearby Photonic Power Laboratory. The Decepticons watched as the Autobots took on and later allied with Kōji Kabuto and his Mazinger Z super robot after realizing that Baron Ashura had deliberately misled them into supporting the evil Mechanical Beasts. Not long after the evil robots retreated, the Decepticons sought out their leader Doctor Hell and formed an alliance. Part of the second wave of Kreon Warriors, "Wiseguy Soundwave" includes a clip-on bird that's painted like Laserbeak and probably is but is not actually labeled as such. Secretly, Soundwave was always a little surprised that his Barry White impression had taken him to the top ranks of the Decepticons. Soundwave is one of two characters that has a special character victory pose, in which Soundwave has a chance to perform "the moonwalk". He can also transform to play " The Touch" while being viewed in the collection.

Released in the fourth wave of Authentics Titan Changers, Soundwave transforms from robot to armored vehicle in a few steps. He includes his shoulder cannon and features an opening chest door, thought it opens up to store his head in vehicle mode rather than any cassette minions. Soundwave was seen flying into battle with Laserbeak in some kid's living room. Robots in Disguise! The Transformers Are by Your Side!? Closer than ever to reaching the AllSpark, the Decepticons awakened after crash-landing on pre- Ice Age Earth. While battling the Autobots, both sides were joined by the Maximals and Predacons, their epic battle changing their combined destinies.

And in most cases the shooter firing Megatron (that sounds weird) was either Starscream or Soundwave, which explains this particular accessory being added here. And though I don’t have the Masterpiece version of Starscream, I do have his mold… Part of the second wave of "Battle Upgrade" Hero Mashers toys, Soundwave is a non-transforming action figure with ratchet-joints, about six inches tall. He has multiple peg-holes all over that can be used to mount any Hero Mashers accessory. Soundwave came to earth during the battle for the Fractal Map and helped out in the battle for the Codex Key too. Codex Showdown Campaign

Both 'bots come with the same accessories: two "thruster guns," two piledrivers, and a piece that the piledrivers plug into. The guns can be stored inside the piledrivers, and whole thing can be worn as a Soundwave was in the audience of a tag battle pitting Optimus Prime and Bumblebee against Megatron and Starscream. Oddly enough, he cheered when it seemed that the Autobots were going to win the match... Last Bot Standing Frenzy and Rumble are definitely the most interesting among the Decepticon cassettes that came with MP Soundwave. I can safely say they don’t feel like accessories at all and I would be fully satisfied if I got them as stand-alone product. He also comes with similarly-decoed versions of Masterpiece Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Decepticon Rumble, and Decepticon Frenzy. All of his legs are articulated with the front ones being on ball joints. This makes him perhaps one of the most expressive cassettes with loads of personality and presence despite his size.

Threezero Bumblebee Movie Deluxe Bumblebee 8 Inch Action Figure

For this release, some Soundwaves suffer from a paint error, leaving the small upside-down triangle on his forehead crest unpainted, though it is animation accurate. Like all the Kreons released that year (at normal retail at least), he uses the new 2015-tooling Kreon body, which basically involves small construction changes on every part below the head, making them largely incompatible with the prior Kreon parts (heads still work fine), but the new tooling adds some extra functionality and structural support. And since handling this set is so much fun and it’s nearly Christmas time when I’m writing this text… The naturally-occurring energon on prehistoric Earth appeared only in an unstable, highly-explosive raw crystalline form. However, after the Planet Buster baked Earth's surface, the crystals were all either incinerated or somehow "converted" into more stable cubes. These cubes no longer emitted the dangerous radiation which prompted the Beast Warriors to adopt their beast modes in the first place. They were significantly smaller than the cubes used by Transformers from before the Great Upgrade and colored blue.

The Hasbro release of Masterpiece Soundwave features a slightly different deco than the Takara version, such as a yellow visor instead of a red one, and leaving the Rumble/Frenzy gun storage panels on his feet unpainted. All of the accessories included with the Takara release are ported over to the Hasbro set (with the exception of the cut-out images for use with his display panel), plus all five of the Masterpiece microcassettes. The cassettes also feature different decoes than their Takara counterparts (see their own articles for details), and their cases are cast in clear plastic instead of the translucent hot pink the Japanese versions came with. His highly truncated instructions omit any explanation of virtually all of his accessories, action features, and interactions with his minions. Finally, he has a designated number as part of the Thrilling 30 line. After Megatron thought that Optimus had been vanquished once and for all, he declared himself Cybertron's "Emperor of Destruction". Soundwave was present for this proclamation. A New Battle! Before too long, Megatron grew tired of the Klingons, only being swayed when they revealed their cloaking technology, allowing Trypticon to scan their downed warbird. The Titan used the cloaking device to bait a trap for the Enterprise, crippling it, with Soundwave scrambling the human ship's distress beacon. Prime's Directive, Part Two This character article is a stub and is missing information on their video game appearances. You can help Transformers Wiki by expanding it. Like Skystalker, Laserbeak has one undocumented feature: his vehicle mode can attach on top of Voyager Class Revenge of the Fallen Mindwipe's alternate mode via two pegs. Additionally, Laserbeak's axe/hook weapons can clip onto Mindwipe's shins. You want the guy you saw on Netflix? That's not who's in the Netflix box.
