If you need a dehumidifier for a big space or want to dry laundry, I’d really recommend the 25l model. But if you’re looking for something to move around this house regularly, a smaller Meaco like the MeacoDry ABC might be a better choice. The 25l Arete is quite big and heavy, and even though it has wheels, it’s not really made for lugging up and down the stairs.

We have not included a free hose in our dehumidifiers for a few years now because more than 90% of users told us that they do not use them, so they just end up in landfill. Our aim is to reduce plastic waste, so we changed the way we do things. The control panel on Arete One has simple and clearly laid out controls. The buttons that you use most often are larger; the buttons that you hardly ever use are small. Large buttons include controls for Smart Humidity Control and Smart Laundry either of which can be set by pressing just one button. We feel that the Night Mode is not just for night time but anytime when you want the dehumidifier to be as quiet as possible. I had the MeacoDry Arete One running whilst I worked and watched TV and it didn’t bother me at all. The official stats say it runs at just 35dB, and it certainly felt very quiet in practice.I was testing the 12L Arete One, which means that it can extract up to 12 litres of moisture from the air per day. And thanks to a generous 2.5L water tank, there's plenty of capacity to collect this condensed water. That means you don't need to constantly empty the dehumidifier as I found I was doing with other models. The original MeacoDry Arete One was a large yet sensibly designed dehumidifier for larger homes, even giving the option to permanently feed water into a drain. Here, we have the MeacoDry Arete One 10L. It’s a more compact product, built for smaller properties up to two bedrooms, but it’s small size is also ideal for placing it in utility rooms or outdoor garden rooms. Design and Features

This handle feels far more robust than most that I've come across on other dehumidifiers and is really easy to grip. Plus, when running the dehumidifier in the kitchen, I found that it got rid of odours from cooking.Our reviewer Tina tested the MeacoDry Arete One over the course of a year in her 2-bedroom house. She tested it mostly in the spare bedroom while drying laundry, noting how effective it was at drying washing and reducing moisture, mould, musty smells and humidity levels. The only downsides for me are that there is no timer, and this dehumidifier doesn't have any Wi-Fi compatibility, which is a bit of a shame because I’d love to have been able to operate it remotely via an App. But, considering this dehumidifier does such a stellar job, these few points are very easy to overlook.
