Akshay Kumar Box Office". Box Office India. Archived from the original on 4 August 2015 . Retrieved 5 September 2015. In Luther Arkwright, the people from universe 000.000.00 are all atheist, and use such expressions as "by Bell's telephone", or "In the name of Darwin". However, for some reason, they decided to name their big computer "WOTAN".

Oh, my word” is a common exclamation made by native speakers. We use “word” to replace “god” because it helps to take away the religious connections. Also, it’s another great way of showing surprise in any situation (both positive and negative). Different characters have different variations. "Gods of Olympus" and "Gods of Rome" are popular. Nico di Angelo has his own particular variation, he tends to use "Styx!" as an exclamation, or in place of "God/s".

Oh no” is a great way to show both disappointment and surprise. It mostly works negatively compared to some of the other options above this. It means that something has surprised us, but we did not want the outcome to end the way it did. Starfire frequently exclaims "X'hal!" when surprised, and has said something to the effect of "Thank X'hal you're all right!" at least once. This becomes slightly odd when it turns out X'hal is at best very destructive and probably a little bit crazy. "Merlin's beard!" or even "Merlin's pants!", and also "Merlin's most baggy Y-fronts". And at one point "Merlin's saggy left—" note earlobe?. Even muggle-born characters are heard using them. Strangely the character most frequently heard using "Oh my God" or similar phrases is Draco Malfoy, whose exposure to non-wizard culture was minimal. Alternatively, the use of "Merlin" instead of "God" may more or less be censorship by the characters, as they seem to at least celebrate Christian holidays. Draco Malfoy, then, may just be using a harsher phrase than the others. The Night World Series by LJ Smith has many instances where the characters, particularly witches and members of Circle Daylight, will swear to their Goddess. Jez and Hugh tend to say it a lot, leading to Morgead figuring out that Jez is a Daylighter.

Rapports annuels 2022" (in French). Ultratop. Archived from the original on 21 January 2023 . Retrieved 13 January 2023. The Twelve Tasks of Asterix movie cuts to the Olympian gods. Jupiter promptly ends a sentence with "By Me!" What with her bumbling dad, who spends all his time among dusty antiques, and her stunningly beautiful (and utterly self-absorbed) older sister, Helen feels rather neglected. And she can’t even invite her friends round – ‘No visitors’ is one of the strict house rules – because this side of the family are hiding a massive secret. They are all ancient Greek gods.
