If having a crisp, accurate highlight is not important to you, then you may still really enjoy the beautiful hues and Bible study color coding guide of these Studio Series Bible Highlighters. I love it because the pages are sturdy, it holds color well, the text is easy to read, and the extra-wide margins provide plenty of room for notes.

I don’t like the Studio Series Bible Highlighters as much, due to their sloppier and less precise lines, although I still feel they get a lot of points for the color coding guide which is super handy.

Dry highlighters are waxy like crayons, wherein the colorant sits on top of the paper fibers rather than soaking in. Because this is about growth and not just a trendy Bible study practice, there’s no need to create categories just for the sake of having them.

Inductive Bible study is a way of learning about the events of the Bible by asking a specific set of questions. Some gel pens are good for writing notes in the margins of your bible, but it depends on the type/brand.

I’ve also used watercolor paint, and even gelatos, to highlight passages of Scripture as I’m journaling. Unlike the regular highlighters that use ink to highlight, this option uses a gel stick that is smudge and bleed free. Not only is God dishonored when scripture is distorted He’s heartbroken because it leads those He loves away from the truth; away from Him. It does glide on the surface of the paper easily without any worries when it comes to smearing or bleeding.

You may, therefore, need to make several strokes to get the perfect highlighting and apply pressure, which can damage your precious Bible. They work well in shading a good amount of surface area but can be tricky to use if you want precision.Although it has its obvious shortcomings, I am convinced that its features are unmatched and will add a lot of benefits to your Bible studying.
