Most of the machines on this list have various indicators for when the descaling programme should be run or drip tray emptied - but don't rely on indicators for everything.The good news is that many modern machines come with cleaning programmes that handle much of the manual cleaning – although there is always going to be some cleaning required. It also has an indicator that pops up if the water level gets too high, so you’ll always know when the tray needs to be emptied.
