I did wait the first time I tried it, but I guess I didn't let it "cure" before making mouth movements to test it out. The problem with Lipcote is is preserves the lipstick on the outer edges of your lips much better than in the centre. i used to use a lipstick sealant by rimmel, which i would use religiously everyday… they really do work! I wear lipstick every single day and much prefer it to gloss; it really is my weapon of choice – that is if it lasts all day on my lips!

The formula is a clear liquid and I have no idea how it works, but it seals the lipstick in place so even after eating it’s still as bright.

When you first use it, it does sting but its not a sting that cannot be put up with and it only lasts about 15 seconds. As you must surely be aware, we are in the midst of a ‘90s/’00s revival and that just doesn’t include the trends we loved back in the day, it includes the products we loved too. Thankfully, for their 20th anniversary Lancome re-released them, so you can relive year 8 all over again. This became the most perfect opportunity for me to apply my newly created customized shade and Lipcote, to test out its staying powers! The only fault i can find is that it can make your lips have a 'sticky' feel when it's dry; however i kinda add abit of light lip balm or gloss. After applying it, do not talk or move your mouth too much for about 3 minutes afterwards, I’ve found that it does slightly peel if you do starting talking and making big mouth movements immediately after applying it.I'm wondering if i maybe got a dud bottle because everyone else loves it and im so desperately relying on it working for the christmas going out period ha!
