There’s a map of planet Earth, a map of the city, tower block and bedroom where Martha lives and even a map of Martha herself (with all the thoughts and dreams that make her unique)! The lively maps will help them explore the many ways we’re connected to our communities, giving them a sense of how we use maps and scale to understand our world, and inspiring them to dream big!Does the book contain anything that teachers would wish to know about before recommending in class (strong language, sensitive topics etc. The resource aims to provide educators and parents with a range of activities and resources to help children learn about maps. I had my eyes on it for a while, then one of my libraries got in their collection… but apparently it went missing as it is still not on any shelves, and then I just decided to get it in English. She has been shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize twice, and longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal four times.
