nano x3 | Reebok Official UK

For athletes that love having a ton of flexibility through their midsole and outsole, I’m not convinced you’ll enjoy the Nano X3 because I think it will feel a little stiffer than your specific flexibility and articulation-driven preferences, in my opinion. Since this shoe is designed and rooted in versatility, I wanted to see where its performance excels in different areas and assess where it starts to fall short. Finally, your gym shoes are likely to go through more abuse than your daily sneakers, so it's always smart to look for profiles boasting a more durable upper construction. I didn’t notice any unusual give or instability during squats, deadlifts, or heavy Russian kettlebell swings. It took me a minute to appreciate this feature, but I think it’s a subtle and positive change for the Nano X3.

The ROPEPRO+ rope guard has also been enhanced to minimize damage to vulnerable parts of the upper and outsole. For example, if you regularly train in barefoot shoes or models like the STR/KE MVMNT Haze Trainer which has a higher degree of sole flexibility, then you may find the Nano X3 to feel like “too much shoe” for your preferences.

The forefoot feels active for multi-directional work and plyometrics and the heel is a little more accommodating when tackling quick runs. Additionally, a higher heel-to-toe drop can be desired for certain exercises, particularly squats and Olympic lifts, as it places the foot at a more aggressive angle and places the stress of the weight across varied muscle groups for more efficient training.
