I want to see Scarlett find her happy no matter who it is with, but I just don't know how to feel about these boys. Because god forbids a romance FMC be nothing sort of rude, because authors doesn't seem to know that badass =/= rude. I would have enjoyed more scenes that weren’t so juvenile at times but other than that I hope as I read the next two books they will be less teenage! The three of them run the academy and have a history with her involving secret relationships and resentments.

Scarlett has recently been forced to attend Boulder Cove Academy after recently getting expelled from two of her previous school. She’s persistent, not afraid to defend herself, never backs out of a challenge and will always put up a fight even if she knows she can’t win. Scarlet has grown up around them and was friends with Maddie-wait til you see who she is related to and who she dated. She knows once she attends the school the 3 boys from her past will be there and they’ll be seeking revenge. It’s been one of those weeks where I attempt to star a book and within just a first few pages my brain is saying "nope, not in the mood for that" or "ugh annoying, no thank you".Honestly Savage Games was a great introduction to the series, that I'd definitely recommend to a bully romance lover and I'm positively looking forward to meeting the next book soon!

The plot line was a slow burn in which very little occurred other than the repetitive, back and forth interactions between the heroine and heroes. The whole hierarchy thing is insane, like flipping heck these people are obsessed with power and control! I mean ffs he can’t keep blaming Scar for what happened, it’s not fair on her for him to keep taking his anger out on her.He is willing to follow Neo and continue to put her in her place but is also willing to hear her out! I really enjoyed Rachel Leigh's Redwood Rebels series, so when I saw she had a new series coming out I had to jump on it. Boulder Cove Academy: Where The Lawless reign and those beneath them are ash between their fingertips. Readers who love bully books (but don't feel like they need heavy dub-con/I personally felt the triggers in this particular enemies to lovers/bully type book are quite tame).

This book had all of the angst and spice that we need in a bully romance as well as the darkness and mystery that has you needing to read that *one more chapter* to know what's happening.The bullying is done well and with enough of a unique convincing motive for each character that it feels authentic; yet rarely crosses the line in a way that is completely morally impossible to redeem—I dig it. I can’t tell you how much fun it was to read Savage Games and what a relief it was to find a book I actually wanted to read today.

If you love steamy, suspenseful, dark romance books with bully elements, and a secret society, you will love this book.
