A lot of Chinese watches include the chronograph only for the show! I think it’s one of the small factors that make Benyar different from another kiosk-only Chinese watch brand. BENYAR BY5121 Automatic Skeleton Watch holds the crown for being the best watch from the brand. This watch comes with all the great features that we seek in a watch. Benyar is different. These watches are very well-made and come with fairly decent choice of materials. The quality seems to be as you'd expect. They're less half the price of Pagani Design and also cheaper than Corgeut and Parnis. So bear that in mind.

First of all, Benyar BY5121 is an automatic watch that features a skeleton dial. These two traits are good enough to grab our eyes and ears! If you want a watch that looks like a Rolex Milgauss and costs the same as a takeaway meal, Benyar has a watch for you. If you're unsure about the ethics of buying a Chinese homage watch bear that in mind. This isn't an exact copy.

Many well-respected watch brands have their watches built in China. It’s where I get my own brand, Northwind, made. These Chinese factories can produce high-quality watches - have a look at SeaGull for proof. The Milgauss isn't one of Rolex's most popular designs. Its colour doesn't appeal to everyone. But if you do like it - Benyar is a good place to start. Benyar grabs attention with the jaw-dropping pricing policy. In most cases, cheap watches reek of bad finish and poor build quality. I'd also like a Longines. If I had any money left I'd also love a Zodiac Sea Wolf - it's a watch I've lusted after for years. Benyar doesn't make many mechanical watches, so I'm glad that the Explorer piece is automatic. Admittedly, it has a Chinese movement. But the G2666Z calibre used has a pretty good reputation.

But that is based on the price. I can't stress this enough. They're good for the money - but they're far from perfect. You'll see a few people who have been disappointed. Usually with the quality control more than anything else. Considering the price tag, I can overlook these small issues. A great buy if you’re on a tight budget and looking for a good-looking watch. Product Specifications – BENYAR BY5121 Automatic Skeleton Watch But it's still very similar to the Swiss legend. It has the Mercedes hands and bold numerals at 3, 6 and 9. The Explorer is Rolex's simple sports watch. It's my favourite Rolex. It's plain, uncluttered and does nothing more than telling the time. Where it differs is the design and layout of the dial. This time the watch is a homage to the Rolex Milgauss. This is Rolex's only model to feature a tinted crystal.Benyar makes inexpensive homage watches. There is nothing unique in that. What they do, and it's their main selling point, is release very affordable watches. Again, I'm a big fan of the original. Rolex is quite a conservative brand, but the Milgauss is quirky. It has that green crystal, colourful markers and a distinctive lightning bolt hand. The best part of BENYAR BY-5104M is the sporty looks and impeccable pricing. I think Benyar has made some smart decisions regarding the pricing policy. I wouldn’t mind their small mistakes as the price doesn’t bother at all. Are you concerned about the ethics of buying a Benyar watch? It's one that you have to answer for yourself. There are good reasons for not buying Chinese homage watches. Most homage watches come from China. Later I'll discuss the ethics of buying from these Chinese companies and I'll look closer at Benyar. I’m not sure which caliber Benyar used in this chronograph watch. But I think it’s either from Seiko or a Seiko copycat. Benyar idolizes Seiko in many ways. For example, about 90% of the Benyar watches have Hardlex crystals, a signature invention of Seiko.

Benyar is one of the lesser-known Chinese homage brands. They're a brand I've only taken an interest in recently. Mainly because they seem to have links to Pagani Design. I can't give you a definitive answer about the ethics of buying it. But as I've suggested, buying an original is often unrealistic.

Instead, I've spent years collecting affordable watches. I've bought from large inexpensive brands and cool little microbrands. I've looked for watches from unlikely sources - you'll have seen how passionate I am about Russian watches. Or they are down to your own conscience. Do you believe that meaningful intellectual property been stolen? However, Benyar is quite different than the typical grey market Chinese watch brands. In most cases, Benyar lets us know about the caliber that they used in the watches. Also, they use genuine leather and stainless steel for manufacturing. The biggest negative trait of these watches is the poor water resistance performance. They use the 30ATM resistance label but these watches die out even after getting light water splashes. In many ways, BENYAR BY-5140M-L Classic is very close to the previous watch, BENYAR BY-5104M. They both are quartz watches with fully functional chronograph features. If these watches can even come close to the Japanese counterparts, we’d congratulate them. After all, even the most expensive watch from Benyar costs only about 60-ish dollars! Let's be honest, we all want to own a Rolex. If I was going to be really honest, I'd own up to wanting more than one. The case is made of stainless steel and you’ll find genuine leather in the strap. I was very skeptical at first thinking of getting faux leather instead of a genuine one. Benyar used the G3265Z automatic movement in this watch. It’s a very common Chinese automatic movement that you can see in many other watches like Pagani Design. It’s offers somewhat average accuracy, gaining about 17 seconds per day.
