I really enjoy Mafia books where the FMC has a role in the family business and Riona Murphy has a pretty dangerous role. If you are a beginning personal trainer this book is one of the must reads if you want to get into the personal training business, it will give you a great head start and a good understanding on what is important. The story was good and was probably better than I think because I had trouble following along with the reader's voice. It tells you everything you could think of about being a PT: how to approach clients, different types of clients, payments, sales and etc. Honestly though, I think this book just made it one of my favorite genres, because who says you can only have one dick the rest of your life? As much as I complain about cliffhangers and how torturous they are, I secretly love them and this one ends on a doozy! Unfortunately, Karen Chance’s move to independent publishing has come at the cost of the audiobook - so necessary to those of us with visual impairment.

This book is packed with lots of amazingly written spice and suspense, this book definitely touches on a lot of darker topics and the fmc goes through a lot and struggles with some trauma but these scenes were so well written it didn’t feel gimmicky or to much. Three stars may have been harsh as there’s plenty of great information in this book and I would say it’s worth a read for anyone in the field.

I think this book would be especially useful for individuals just starting out with personal training, or those who have the training side down but have neglected the business side. Right off the bat I loved Riona, she was a strong and witty woman who was living a double life, she’s a bad*ss character who I’m sure we can all relate to in some way.
