We had an excellent time acting out our characters. One of the highlights of the night was how Spring Leaf was played by a man (instead of a woman)… watching her relationships transpire as the story developed was a riot! My husband was the bartender and I helped. We had an adult playing Kate and 18 year old playing Christy and the rest were 11 and 12. They did great and were even trying to settle the land dispute the next day at school! " Yesterday in Mitchido Richard Woods – a wealthy landowner – was shot down in cold blood whilst he was riding to town. He leaves behind his wife Katherine and daughter Annabel. There is a gathering of his family and the townsfolk to discuss what should be done. The people at the meeting look uneasy. They are not sure who will be arrested as the murderer and they are afraid that the gunslingers that are present might take the law into their own hands if they don’t like the verdict. Different characters are alleged to have killed people prior to the party - obviously, everyone denies everything!

A truly formidable campaigner against drink, gambling and saloon women; on a mission to turn the saloon into a children's school. Our murdering mystery has more than one fearless, gunslinging, gun-toting outlaw - but to find out who you will have to play the game! The saloon's Cancan dancers swish their petticoats as loud explosions sound from behind the town's only bank. I am so glad I began my journey with murder mysteries playing a Freeform game. I have heard of many other more controlled or directed games. I doubt those will ever have the same attraction as the working out of a unique sequence of events, determined by the players!"The whole family loved it. We had so much fun. The drinks were great. The games were a blast. We all had fun trying to solve the mystery. Way out West lasts for about four hours and is suited to an evening. It is often played over a meal – a finger buffet if possible to allow guests to circulate and talk in private. First we must thank you for the creative and all round FUN evening we had last night, hosting Way out West Expanded (kids' version) for 27 people!! My husband and I decided to host a murder mystery as an opportunity for peeps in our home group to get to know the church staff better – it was both hilarious and VERY successful.

The costumes were fabulous. Some people even rented them from a local Theatre company. Even our babysitter dressed in prairie clothes and helped with the serving. Her kind mother also lent us loads of western décor from their own home! We made “Wanted” posters with participants’ faces. Enjoy the pics! We did the Western murder mystery party and loved it! It was very well organized and well written. I'll definitely be looking at your store for our next murder mystery party! We saw your free game Way out West and since there was no risk decided to try it for Halloween! I had fun planning it and more fun being the host! And all our guests had a blast too! … Some of our guests didn't know each other but this game made it so it didn't matter and everyone could still have fun! … Since then, everyone keeps asking when we are doing another one!"
