About this deal

Although, I have heard more than one complaint from viewers regarding the cable for the Cintiq 16 which is a proprietary cable and could be expensive to replace. Its unmatched pen sensitivity captures every stroke, and the tilt recognition adds realism to my digital artworks. There’s also a bit more of a buffer zone in between the bezel and the active drawing area on the Cintiq 22.

This high-end perfomance allows near zero latency and parallax for maximum control even of fast moving content in film, game design and VFX. While the picture on the Cintiq 22 is a little soft compared with other Cintiq models, it’s comfortable to work from – and in all other respects, the drawing experience is excellent. The Cintiq 22 still has a better overall feel, however, with superior build quality in both the display and the pen. It doesn't require charging, drawing power from the Cintiq 22 through Wacom's electro-magnetic resonance (EMR) technology, which eliminates the need for a battery. The quoted gamut for the Cintiq 22 is 72% NTSC, which puts it in the same league as a budget monitor. The display is equipped with HLG (hybrid log-gamma) and the PQ (perceptual quantization) curve for displaying and editing HDR video content. Experience precision pen performance with a slimmer form factor for Wacom MobileStudio Pro, Wacom Cintiq Pro, Wacom Cintiq and Wacom Intuos Pro.

Also, while the 1920x1080 resolution on the Cintiq 16 is tolerable given the relatively small screen size, on the Cintiq 22 the pixellation is absolutely unbearable. They really should have gone with a 2K screen for the 22, especially for the amount they're charging for it. This would be fine if this were a general-purpose or entertainment monitor, but it's a little low for an artist's display, particularly as designers tend to work relatively close to their monitors, sometimes at a precision touch-up level.

a creative pen display, is in effect a second, interactive monitor for your computer, which you control by means of the included Wacom Pro Pen 2 stylus by drawing on the display's surface. In Wacom's lineup, the Cintiq 22 and Cintiq 16 lie between the company's Intuos screenless drawing tablets and the Cintiq Pro line. For artists seeking a top-tier drawing tablet, Wacom Cintiq Pro 22 is definitely the best investment in their artistic future that will surely pay off. It’s not cutting edge screen tech, but gives a good quality result far greater than my previous monitor set up and I have no complaints. You are sure to enjoy creating directly on this large-format, high-definition display with Wacom's pressure-sensitive pen.

Credit is provided by Novuna Personal Finance, a trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Huion and XP-Pen lack this feature, and you have to settle for holding the E key on the keyboard to mimic. The anti-glare glass surface is laminated to give it a slight texture, which gives a pleasing sense of bite as you move the stylus across it. The Wacom Pro Pen 2 offers amazing precision and control, reacting to the tilt of your hand and accurately responding to each movement.

Personally, I would be worried about accidentally yanking those cords and possibly breaking one of the connections or the cables. Vibrant colour, HD clarity and ergonomic design together with the super-responsive Pro Pen 2, offer a natural experience and help take your creative ideas and illustrations to the next level.

Used by storytellers, directors, and creatives globally, Storyboard Pro empowers you to get your ideas down, structure the sequence and elaborate the story so it can be shared, pitched and promoted on your terms.Geared to art students and budding designers, it lacks the multi-touch capabilities, higher resolution and brightness, wider color gamut, and range of connection choices of the company's Cintiq Pro line, and it is not a full tablet that can run its own programs, like Wacom's MobileStudio Pro 16. While conventional drawing tablets without a display, like Wacom’s Intuos line, are capable of working over a wireless Bluetooth link, that isn’t yet realistic for a combined tablet and display. If you travel a lot, and/or plan to work out of cafes or libraries, the Cintiq 16 wins hands-down for its portability. EMR (Electro Magnetic Resonance) tech draws power from your Wacom Cintiq, meaning you never need to charge the pen.
