I would think that one gig would be fine for most households, but this is a state of the art router. inet gl-axt1800" it's fairly cheap and portable (it runs off of a 5v USB-C connection) and has built in ad blocking(AdGuard home).

I know I can save the settings and import them again, but heck, maybe sometime later, for now, “if it works, don’t fix it? At those speeds, you’d need either a business-class router, or at the very least IPv6 to get rid of the NAT overhead. When I set each of them to work as the WAN port hosting my 10Gbps Fiber-optic line, the best Internet speed I could get from either of them was almost 6Gbps — tested via a 10GbE-ready client connected to the remaining 10GbE port working as a LAN port.In my testing — more below — the GT-AXE16000 indeed had excellent range, but not more excellent than other high-end routers. Hi Dong, with this router i get only about 550 Mbps download speed via wifi 6E 6GHz to my HP Spectre x360 14-ef0003nl notebook. There’s also two USB ports for file sharing features if you wish to use the router as a NAS file storage server. Well I never enabled any of that on my AXE16000 so they will have a bone to pick amongst themselves lol.

I read through your article on Multi-Gig wired backhaul that you linked above and have a couple of questions/clarifications. I saw the alternatives you mentioned to the ax16000, I was wondering would you recommend using the — ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 PRO Tri-Band WiFi 6 — OR — ASUS RT-AXE7800 Tri-band WiFi 6E — INSTEAD of the ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000?Traffic Analyzer: A set of tools and statistics for those wanting to find out what's happening in the network. This will ensure your gaming devices are always prioritized, preventing any potention congestion that might cause an increase in the latency or reduction in stability. There is also evidence that hardware vendors will largely skip over Wifi 6E and go directly to 7- notwithstanding the few devices that now have 6E. It is a power house with an engine that should easily be able to handle all those settings being on or off. A tour de force in terms of both hardware and software features, the GT-AXE16000 is overflowing with capabilities when it comes to setting up and managing a home network.

WAN port (which can be aggregated with one 1GbE LAN port) and two (count ’em) 10GbE ports, one of which can also be used for WAN. For people who can’t reach the top speeds afforded by the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000, there’s not much difference between the two. However, I only have a 1gbps connection and my real focus is wifi stability, range and usb file sharing stability. ASUS continue their legacy of making wireless router with great performance and being really stable at the same time. Looking at the ROG Rapture will raise a smile like looking out on your driveway and seeing an Aston Martin.

The fps remained the same without the simultaneous video streams, and the game remained unplayable with the video streams on and the QoS enabled. My understanding of ASUS mesh is that you wire from router 1GB port to wan port of the satellite in wired mode.

As mentioned above, I'll continue to test its mesh capability — again, only applicable to those with a wired home. After all, we have seen cheaper routers better manage mixed network traffic and not have our plethora of hiccups on gaming performance.Regarding Rangeboost: please make a note/comment in the full review reagarding the range compared to the GT-ax11000. That’s important for competitive gaming or just anyone who wants their home Wi-Fi network to be smooth and seamless. It’s also worth remembering that other cheap Asus routers can be used to extend the GT-AXE16000's network using the company's AiMesh technology. I haven’t really tried the router with 10Gbps stuff, Richard, and I didn’t expect it to deliver full 10Gbps.
