And something much more dangerous is looming - a threat not only to Annie's peace of mind, but to her life as well.

In spite of Frederick's gentle urging not to take the entire burden of the Gibson family on her shoulders, Annie can't help feeling concerned - and something much more dangerous is looming. The book also follows the civic developoment of the growing town of Bilsden (hence the title) and portrays a wide range of fascinating characters. Similarly for the Book Swap, you can donate a book and take a new one away with you, or just pop in and have a read of one from our bookcase. This is the first of her of her works I have had the pleasure of reading but I know I will read all the work she has written. After years of struggling to make a living in the small Lancashire town of Bilsden, Annie knows she deserves to sit back and enjoy her life - after all, she's not yet forty, and still in her prime. The Gibson family are truly amazing the 💘they have for each other and their own families is wonderful whatever happens they stand by each other. HAVING READ THE FIRST THREE IN THE SERIES, HALLAM SQUARE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT AS THE 4TH IN THE SERIES. How Frederick's wish for a family portrait introduces a new character to the series and to the Hallam circle of friends. In this saga set in 19th-century Lancashire and featuring the Gibson family, Annie is now happily married to mill-owner Frederick Hallam, but a threat from the past emerges to cause her anxiety. We offer a separate, gluten free menu for those who may suer from Coaliac’s disease, are gluten intolerant, or just have lactose or fructose intolerances.

Annie knows she deserves to sit back and enjoy her life, but the first faint clouds of worry are on the horizon. The additional pull for me is the fact that the story is told in and around Manchester and it's obvious that Ms Jacobs knows the city well. I would have dismissed the proofreader and I’m disappointed at Hodder Books for allowing it to pass. There are maps and help points on campus, and there will be people on hand to guide you during Welcome Week.I find the story very real and you get to know each of the characters like they were your own family. Wow I am a fan of Anna Jacobs stories, but this series is just brilliant 🤩 I absolutely love the character Annie Gibson, a woman ahead of her time. THEREFORE I RECOMMEND THAT YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY READ SALEM STREET, HIGH STREET AND RIDGE HILL BEFORE HALLAM SQUARE.

And something much more dangerous is looming – a threat not only to Annie’s peace of mind, but to her life . It is the year 1857 and Annie has married Fredrick Hallam the owner of the town mill, she had lost her husband Charlie several years ago. This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use.
