The new ASX batteries are available in two sizes: Standard (200mAh) and Extended Range (300mAh). Both sizes offer the same performance, but the extended range option will give you up to 50% longer run time before needing to be recharged. The GX Eagle AXS derailleur uses SRAM’s Overload Clutch that disengages the motor’s gearbox in an impact. Alex Evans And then SRAM did it all again at a more affordable price point with GX AXS. It’s all the same tech, many of the same options and the very same ease of use and integration but wrapped up in GX meaning that it is cheaper, but that’s not to say it’s cheap. The SRAM AXS battery offers approximately 20 hours of ride time or more, weighs just 25 grams and is detachable with a single clip. And it only takes an hour to charge. To charge Rival eTap AXS derailleur batteries, remove the battery from the derailleur to charge them on the eTap battery charger. To begin, simply plug the charger into the outlet and then attach the positive and negative terminals of the charger to the corresponding terminals on the battery. Once everything is properly connected, the charger will automatically begin charging the battery. The whole process should take no more than a few hours, after which time your battery will be fully charged and ready to go! SRAM AXS Battery Charging And really there isn’t much else to report. SRAM GX Eagle AXS is a better shifting solution to cabled systems and we haven’t run into any significant issues. Our experience with GX AXS has been an exciting one, it taps into inner geek modes (if that’s your bag) but the main thing is that, on the trail, it’s better than any cable system we’ve ridden. Flowlink technology features, where the chain’s inner plates are smooth which, SRAM claims, means the chain engages the cassette and chainring with less friction for quiet performance.

Your partner for all rides, all the time, all day.

Unsurprisingly, the 12-speed 10-52t cassette uses SRAM’s XD Driver standard that differs from the original Shimano HyperGlide (HG) system and Shimano’s new Micro Spline system.

SRAM’s new AXS battery charger is a great way to keep your bike’s batteries charged and ready to go. This compact and lightweight charger are perfect for taking on the go, and it features two USB ports so you can charge multiple devices at once. The AXS battery charger also comes with a handy carrying case, making it easy to keep all of your charging cables organized and tidy. SRAM AXS Battery Charger Indicator The GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur is battery-powered and wirelessly connected to the shifter. SRAM claims the removable and rechargeable onboard battery provides up to 20 hours of riding time on one charge. Finance is subject to application, financial circumstances and borrowing history. This didn’t appear to be any fault of the derailleur, more a game of chance if the shift happened just after the cassette’s shifting ramps had passed by the derailleur. The new AXS battery is a direct replacement for the older style battery found in many of SRAM’s groupsets. The new battery is smaller, lighter, and more powerful, making it the perfect upgrade for your bike. Here’s everything you need to know about the new AXS battery: 1SRAM does not recommend using third-party components (such as chainrings, cassettes and chains) with its Eagle drivetrains, however, we know that third-party offerings should work with Eagle kit if the manufacturer states compatibility. I also preferred the single-shift setup. It is possible to program the shifter to move one, two, three or even all the gears with a prolonged push. To reduce the chances of erroneous shifting, I programmed it to shift one single gear at a time. Because its tension can’t interfere with shift lever feel and the motor seems to be strong enough to overcome any resistance during shifts, maybe increasing its tension would further reduce chain slap.

Programable – The AXS system connects with the SRAM AXS app and from there you can program the shifter to work in a number of different ways. For example, you can switch the way your gears up or downshift and you can program the system to either allow for a single shift at a time (for eBikes) or multiple shifts, from the app you can even choose how many gears you shift through at a time.

It’s important to note that you should only use the charger that came with your SRAM force AXS. Using any other type of charger could potentially damage your unit. When it comes time to actually charge your SRAM force AXS, simply press the power button on the charger and wait for the LED indicator light to turn green. ant+ and bluetooth and wifi share a frequency range pretty close to a microwave oven...so anyone familiar with wifi interference when nuking food....a microwave can wake up bluetooth and ant devices from standby just enough for the chipset to ignore it. but it still needs to process a signal more than parasitic drain. How long does an SRAM AXS battery last? This is a question that we get asked a lot, and it really depends on how you ride and what kind of conditions you ride in. If you are someone who likes to go hard on the gas and brake often, then your battery will deplete faster.
